The Christchurch Club

Our Clubhouse in Latimer Square, Christchurch was damaged in September 2010, and seriously damaged again in the February, June and December 2011 quakes, and currently unavailable for use.

We have established interim premises at Huntley lodge, 67 Yaldhurst Road, Christchurch (www.huntleylodge.co.nz). To service Members needs at Huntley we have opened an office there which is staffed by the Acting Manager, Office Administrator and Social & Administrative Host Manager. We are committed to providing Member activities appropriate to Member needs.

Originally built in 1876, Huntley Lodge offers superior accommodation which is available to reciprocal club members at a special corporate rate, dining and a superb collection of rooms suitable for our activities.

The Christchurch Club building and setting have a Category 1 Heritage listing, which is the highest Heritage value available. 150 years of continuous occupation on original site, of original function, by original owner is rare in New Zealand, achieved by some Government buildings, churches and schools.

The Latimer Square Clubhouse is in the Christchurch Central Business District ‘red zone’ which is not expected to be open to the public until early 2012.

While present access to our Clubhouse is difficult, planning is in hand, and we look forward to being back in our old site in due course.

Members can obtain more information regarding the Clubhouse in the Members’ Area section of the website. Don't forget to log into the Members' Area for news updates.
